Positively Positive Review – Supernatural: Point of No Return

Jensen Ackles as Dean Winchester in Supernatural - "Point of No Return"

The 100th episode of Supernatural was full of everything that we fans of the show have come to love about this series - angst, drama, action and even a little bit of comedy (mostly supplied by Dean and his hysterical one-liners).

A part of me was a tad disappointed in the episode but it had nothing to do with the episode itself. Have no fear, this is still a positive review.

You see, I was disappointed for purely personal and selfish reasons. I know it probably sounds strange, considering the ramifications of what will happen to the world, but I really want Dean to say yes to Michael. Because I am dying to see Jensen to play that role. I happen to think he’s a freaking awesome actor and I think he could do some amazing stuff playing a vengeful angel inside a character he’s been playing for the past five seasons. We already got to see Jared play a little bit of Lucifer in a dream sequence, all I want is my chance to see Jensen do the same with Michael. That's not too much to ask, is it?

So when the end of the episode came and that didn’t happen….yeah, I was sad. But I got over it as I watched the episode again (this time without sitting there waiting, wishing and hoping for Michael to come) and I saw how great it was. From a pissed off Cas kicking Dean’s ass all the way up and down a dark alley, to Sam putting all his faith in Dean, to the boys' younger brother Adam making a return – all of it made an episode that was the perfect showcase for the show’s 100th.

I laughed, I cried and in the end I cheered. And really, who can ask for better than that?

Gotta love Supernatural. Their "origins" in Lawrence Kansas happens to be my hometown. I would be a fan anyway, but that made their show even better.

That's awesome. I know someone who was born in Lawrence too. Well for me I'd have to say it was a mix of the car (gotta love a '67 Impala), the music (well at least in the first couple seasons, LOL) and the characters.....oh and the monsters/demons/angels, etc. Basically what's NOT to love? :o)
